Catechism

Last night I was asking the girls questions out of the Children's Catechism. I got to the question, What did God give Adam and Eve besides bodies? My 2 1/2 year old said. "apples". (The answer is, He gave them spirits that would last forever.) I guess that we have talked more about eating the forbidden fruit than about eternity.



This same daughter (Emily) and I were reading books in her room. Caroline came in and listened for a while and then left and closed the door. Emily started to scream and get very anxious. I told her that there was no reason to get upset, because I was with her. I had authority over Caroline and could open the door for her. It seemed so silly that she would be so distraught
